Samurai experience
Everyone seems to be watching various movies and images, and often asked what this means.
The image was that after swing, knocked a handle with a fist and reternnig the sword.
It is a gesture of shaking off blood.
Although it can explain performance as a movie, it is difficult if it is actual practice.
